Looking at the top 10 bestselling games in July 2012, sales generally hit a low with very few new releases. Just three of the top 10 games were released in July; however eight were released in 2012. There are two versions of NCAA Football 13 and LEGO Batman 2: DC Super Heroes in the top 10. There are also four games that have Mario in the title, which shows how popular the plumber is after more than 30 years since he first appeared in Donkey Kong in 1981.
There are three games for the 3DS, two for the Xbox 360, two for the Wii, and one a piece for the DS, PlayStation 3, and PC.
