Rumors of the next generation PlayStation and Xbox have been building up for quite sometime, but nothing concrete has ever been said. Hiroshi Sakamoto, the Sony vice president of home entertainment, may have spilled the beans on the next generation PlayStation.
“That’s still a big secret, but our friends [in the gaming division] are preparing Sony PlayStation,” said Sakamoto speaking with the Chilean-based website Emol. “I can only say that we are focused on the E3 gaming event, scheduled for June. [An] announcement may be [made at that time] or even earlier, in May.”
This is the closest to a confirmation from Sony that the next generation PlayStation is set to be unveiled in the first half of this year.
